Not only were brothers Jon and Ryan DeRamos at the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles to celebrate the LA premiere of the documentary Falling Up (featuring their score), they were also hired by the Falling Up producer (Stephon Litwinczuk of Heiwa Productions) to capture the post-screening Q&A session. It was a three-camera web/TV production, with Jon, Ryan, and a steady tripod capturing the event — the panel and the audience — from multiple angles.

Q&A Panel, from left to right: Skid Row advocate General Jeff, filmmaker Stephon Litwinczuk, and documentary subjects Johnny Popp and Lorraine Marquez
The complete Q&A presentation is still in the postproduction process, presumably prepared by Heiwa Productions. We’ll be sure to post the video (or at least a link) to the show when it is Web-ready! In the meanwhile, Stephon has edited together a compilation of audience responses of the film, as shot by the DeRamos Media camera crew! (You can watch it in higher quality at Facebook.)
Even if we weren’t directly involved in the completion of the film (we wrote the music and cleaned up and mixed the postproduction audio), we would still highly recommend that you see this incredible documentary. It is currently available for rental at YouTube, and will be available via other channels (Internet and broadcast) in the near future.
